I am a 23 year old full time cyclist preparing for my fourth racing season, and I hope to continue my rapid progression in both fitness and racing ability.
I started cycling 5 years ago aged 18 after buying my first road bike. I began to use a power meter and train more seriously, and quickly progressed from 4th cat to 1st cat in just 13 months. In this time, I won a 3 day Regional A stage race with no team support and achieved four top 10s at National B level during my first racing season, all whilst studying an extremely demanding undergraduate medical course at the University of Cambridge.
During my second racing season (and final year of university), riding for Pedal Heaven Excel Academy I won a National B road race with two further podiums, despite racing much less than in 2015 due to my studies and finals exams. I also placed 4th in a kermesse from a long breakaway whilst guesting for CT Tomacc, and learnt and developed a lot from racing interclubs with them.
I graduated in June 2016 and have been committed to my cycling on a full time basis since then. In 2018, I am a rider for Ribble Pro Cycling team. I believe that I am rapidly developing into a very strong rider, having progressed from a novice to elite rider in just 2 years, and I am confident that my commitment to all aspects of cycling will see me reach my goal of cycling professionally in the future.
